On A Clear Day

Mar 11th, 2014 Posted in drs, Quotes, Voice | no comment »

This has always been one of my favorite songs, but I didn’t know the beginning leading up to “On a Clear Day…” Now I like it even more. It’s Insightful, Inspirational and Empowering…
“You’ll be impressed with you!”

Lyrics:
On a Clear Day You Can See Forever

Dr. Mark Bruckner:
Could anyone among us
Have an inkling on a clue?
What magic feats, or wizardry
And voodoo you can do?
And who would ever guess
What powers you possess?
And who would have the sense to change his views?
And stop to mind his E.S.P’s and Q’s
For who would ever dream of hearing phones before they ring,
Or harrowing the earth to send you up a little spring?
Or finding you’ve been crowned ‘The Queen of Lost and Found’
And who would not be stunned to see you prove
There’s more to us than surgeons can remove?

So much more than we ever knew,
So much more were we born to do.
Should you draw back the curtain,
This I am certain.
You’ll be impressed with you.

On a clear day
Rise and look around you
And you’ll see who you are.
On a clear day
How it will astound you
That the glow of your being outshines ev’ry star.

You’ll feel part of ev’ry mountain sea and shore.
You can hear, from far and near,
A world you’ve never heard before.
And on a clear day…
On that clear day…
You can see forever and ever more!

[interlude]

You’ll feel part of ev’ry mountain sea and shore.
You can hear, from far and near,
A world you’ve never heard before.
And on a clear day…
On that clear day…
You can see forever…
And ever… And ever…
And ever more!

*On a Clear Day You Can See Forever is a musical with music by Burton Lane and a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner based loosely on Berkeley Square, written in 1929 by John L. Balderston.

Chants, Prayers & Improvisations

I’ve always had a deep desire to express and share what’s in my Heart and Soul, yet mostly at a lack for the words to relay it. And rightly so, I’ve realized that for me, the words are not what matters. It’s the feeling, the vibration, the sound and the energy behind it.

I feel rather like a Phoenix rising up out of it’s own ashes to find a new identity of improvisational singer/chanter. I never before thought of myself as being able to do such a thing as be creative in any way of unfolding (in the moment) expression. Yet here I am — in total amazement and humbleness when I’m so flowing with Spirit that I forget my ego self, and no judgement or self-criticism exists. I’m engulfed with joy, gratitude, openness and freedom of voice, heart, mind, soul, body and expression of all therein.
