On
Dreams and Fear

I'd
like to offer a different perspective or possibility as to what
your recurring dreams could mean.
I had running and hiding dreams most of my life. They varied in
content in every conceivable way except for two things: 1-as long
as I kept running, I was never caught, and 2-if I stopped and
hid, I was always caught (I'd wake up in a panic at being caught).
However, throughout my entire life, I never saw who was chasing
me or who caught me until I was 30 years old.
I had begun a 7-day forgiveness (see My
Relationship With Daddy) of my father the day before his birthday.
That very night I had the dream again, only this time I saw who
was chasing me - it was soldiers! (BTW, when I called my father
for his b'day, it was the first stress-free conversation we ever
had.) I interpreted this dream on several levels, and it was very
powerful. However, it wasn't until a couple of years later that
I asked my mom what her pregnancy was like with me. This was when
she informed me that while she was pregnant with me....
Let
me back up just a bit: My dad was in the Air Force when he met
my mom and he had just re-enlisted. Well, after meeting my mom
and marrying her, he didn't want to be in the Air Force anymore.
He kept going AWOL to be with her (he did manage to get an honorable
discharge, but not before spending some time in the brig for going
AWOL). Anyway, back to my previous point: My mom informed me that
while she was pregnant with me, she and my dad had been "running
and hiding" from the MP's! (soldiers!)
WHOA
- I had picked up my "fears" from my mother while she
was pregnant with me! I have also uncovered some other issues
that I've had that were really my mother's and not originally
my own.
From
where might your fears originate? Perhaps, they come from somewhere
other than you first thought....
May
God bless you with His peace and grace,
