Our Creator of the Month for September 2004

Donna Rose

Donna Rose has come such a long way since we started seeing her work,
and we are so proud of her accomplishments.

We asked Donna Rose a few Questions about receiving
this honor, here is what she had to say:  

 

1. Tell us a little about yourself.

Well, let's see.... My name is Donna Rose Stewart and I live in Asheville, North Carolina. I have been a singer for most of my life and a voice teacher for the last 14 years. I'm divorced, but in a relationship with an incredible man, who (btw) turned me on to computers, PSP, etc. I turned 50 years old this year, and it has been a major shift of reality for me....
 

2. How did you get started doing Graphics?

 

I started working on the computer in May 2000 and began creating web pages (in Netscape Composer) as a creative self-expression outlet. It grew into building my first website, which was largely a learning, growing experience. From there, I built my second website, for which I wanted to make my own graphics. I began working to that end with free paint programs I found on the web, until a friend shared PSP 5 with me. I had joined WOSIB and decided to try out Garden of Creators, where I moved up to PSP 8; and where, now, I've been rewarded for doing something that I love and enjoy..... How awesome is that!?

 

3. What is your reaction to this news?

I'm incredibly surprised and grateful! I'm still such a beginner at PSP, and the members of Creators Garden are a remarkably talented group of women - I feel honored to be counted among them! Thank you very much for this unexpected and wonderful news :-D
